BONNE APARTE

The personnel of the ever-changing collective Bonne Aparte is known for their need to push things in the red as far as they can by provoking their guitars, drums, percussion, synth and vocal chords. On stage they pull up a massive wall of noise and feedback but always with enough space between the bricks to let through a beautiful melody.
Combining the craziness of Captain Beefheart with the rhythmic tightness of Shellac and the adventurous musical approach of Millionaires Tim Vanhamel, Bonne Aparte stands for overwhelming live performances and songs that will infect your heart and head.

LUSHUS

Nu-wave with hints of jazz, punk and deutsche welle...
The band LUSHUS has existed in its current, powerful formation, for three years. There are two charismatic female bass players and an energetic drummer, all of whom sing. Together they indulge and tease the listener with a mixture of jazz, Punk and nu-wave. Their new album Red Blushes is being published by Tocado Recordings, and is sold in felt sleeves. LUSHUS has been recording a vinyl single Big fat man with Corno Swetsloot in April 2006. This record includes one disco-punk track, witch is a real pleasure to listen to and dance on! In 2008 Lushus will go on tour to Japan and Russia. Theyll release some new tracks currently made over the internet during 2007 and 2008.

RAASKALBOMFUKKERZ

The Formulator: poëtik insanity & vokal noize
Dr. Snoodaard: producing, sampling, keyboards, drumpads, backing vocals, digital noize

The RaaskalBOMfukkerZ (gibberish bomb-fuckers) is a two-person battalion, which operates from the squatted freeports of the Netherlands, mainly Amsterdam. In 2003 they started operating their guerrilla battle for both more artistic & political balls as shear insanity in Dutch hip hop and far beyond. This resulted in notorious costumed live-shows, where experimental beats caused by uninsured illegal operations of Dr. Snoodaard are combined with unhygienic sample gear and boards. Upon this the Formulator (f.k.a. the Silent Partner) erupts combinations of (un-) conscious lyrix, stomachetwisting (sound-) poetic eruptions and unrecognizable human beat boxing-sessions. A bewildering hit at countless festivals, clubs and squats. They believe intellectual property is theft and every soul is free to upload, download or remix their stuff. RaaskalBOMfukkerZ went international in 2005 with a small German tour. In 2007 they broke a period of personal traveling and silence with the 7-track EP ‘Vennoten in de Schaduw’ (Partners in the Shadow), celebrated with a nationwide tour with the acclaimed Australian hip-hop opera gang THE CURSE OV DIALECT. In 2008 they released a 70 min. audiocassette called Robot tot het Volk (Robot to the People), both with anti-massproduxion-artwork. In their upcoming tour through France and the Dutch Punch festival in St. Petersburg, the RaaskalBOMfukkerZ will again prove themselves as a transnational and refreshing antidote in an age of semi-rational semi-democratic top40 cynicism. Let insanity and imagination reign supreme and most of all: let there be gibberish. Beyond any border.

BENEFIT OF THE BOOMERANG

Pretentious beatwork-a-holic Jordy Timmermans has been contaminating his bathroom breakcore with dramatic scores and bombastic compositions, ever since his budget allowed him to buy a laptop. Inspired by jungle, jazz, techno and classical, Benefit of the Boomerang wants to turn up the intensity of dancemusic to level eleven, by molesting melody and rythm to fit the demented demand.
The result is a rythmic conspiracy, seeking the boundries of danceability, without using wet distortion to compensate the lack of talent. Polkafunk, pornelectro, ravecandy and pocketcore, this music is like an openheart operation at thirteen degrees Kelvin: pretty cool.

MACHINEFABRIEK

Machinefabriek makes electronic (non-laptop) music ranging from drones to melodica songs and from classical ambient to harsh feedback noise. Rutger was called one of the most interesting new experimental musicians by the Wire magazine.
A talented graphic designer as well as a musician, Rutger Zuydervelt is based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Making music since \\\'96, this has given him the opportunity to explore many different styles and techniques. Formerly a guitarist in a doom-metal band, he was also part of De Elektronikawinkel, Box or 10 Pcs., Vincent, Aut or Matic and Flex. Through his various live shows he has bedazzled his audiences with a mixture of sound art and processed toy-instruments, guitars and domestic appliances, the basis of his musical language. Although influenced by artists such as Fennesz, Merzbow, BJ Nilsen and Tim Hecker, he is always in search of new sonic territories.
Machinefabriek tries to incorporate found sound with pre-recorded material and live instrumentation to create dense and abstract sonic environments. He has so far been releasing his music through his website in the form of 3-inch cds.

YOBKISS

YobKiss started in 2006 as a performance with Antistrot, sawing laptops in half and composed music on oversized powerbooks.
In 2006 YobKiss started doing his solo performances in Japan, playing live drums with his game-like composed sounds and colaborating with Jason Forest and Maruosa. This year he did a bigger tour in Japan playing with Bogulta (Zuinosin), Maruosa, Pika of Afri Rampo, Suzuki Junzo, Doddodo OvenaxX, Mandog, Oshri Penpens and many more. Other concerts in Europe and New York were also done in 2007 and some festivals like Wasted, State X New Forms, and Gocha Matsuri.
For his new CD YobKiss also invited people people to do vocals on his tracks. Some from Japan: Nani of Bogulta, Toxic Lipstick, K Spit, Maruosa, Michiel of Nothing Done (Rotterdam) and remix by Jason Forest (Berlin).

NOBODY BEATS THE DRUM

In 2003 Nobody Beats The Drum hit our little planet like a meteorite. Since then they have been blowing up speakers and tubes internationally with their music and visuals. NBTD consists of DJ Sjam, VJ Rogier van der Zwaag en keyboard player - Keyjay - Jori Collignon. Like a five-year-old that just learned to walk and talk, NBTD developed a sound and a style completely their own. Their style is so unbelievably sick that their first full album will be released on the brand spanking new record label 100% Halal. It will be in stores march 2008 and will be accompanied by the release of their first video Quit your job, directed by VJ Rogier. Five years ago the NBTD meteorite hit the earth. Now the smoke has settled and their album Beats Work sees the light of day certain: Nobody.Beats.The.Drum.... Nobody!

MEDIAONTWERPERS

Mediaontwerpers is a Dutch multimedia artist evolving in different disciplines and is formed by Ian Macleod Cassels.
Ian founded Mediaontwerpers in the year 2002 to build interactive installations for parties as a reaction to get more pleasure out of a party by combining art, sound and interaction together.
With various hardware sensors, other interactive tools and a significant dose of weird humour as ingredients a Mediaontwerpers production never fits ,but always surpasses the expectations. From absurd media to interactive installations. Mediaontwerpers themselves produces every single item including the hardware, the stories the performance and the visuals. The only objective is to please the audience during the parties with its interactive installations. Combining art, media and humour it continually builds projects. All of the installations have political and or social implications and influence how I see the community through my own eyes combined with love and passion for fun, parties and festivals.
During REMF 2007, the Rotterdam based Electronic Festival, Mediaontwerpers released his latest project with a big succes, a four wheel driven radio controlled truck with a megaphone on top. Music played inside the clubs and funny sketches were played outside on the streets combined with an onboard camera, police siren and a red flashlight, pleasing the audience as they stood waiting.

ANTISTROT

Antistrot a visual arts collective, have been working together since 1997 members Paul B?rchers, Johan Kleinjan, David Elshout, Silas Schletterer, Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva, Charlie Dronkers (video) and Michiel Walraven, started the group as a reaction against the establishment academy and gallery walls. The collaborative is tight, when working together, individuals come second to the collective and the final product is less important than the dynamic process of action and reaction through which Antistrot`s paintings and drawings come about. To Antistrot`s members these sessions form a visual sounding board for reflection on our constantly changing world. Their eclectic, chaotic and seemingly incoherent works mirror the avalanche of images, impressions and temptation to which we are daily exposed. In so doing, the members of Antistrot do not make value judgements. Not only do they react to consumer society, they are also - wholeheartedly - part of it. By completely accepting consumer society Antistrot aims to reveal shades of reality that overabundance and desensitization have rendered invisible.
Influences on us are:

1) The Complete Saturation of images and emotions thru the modern media.
2) Street slang and other shenanigans.
3) Mockery of trends like Street and Urban and other clueless phenomena.
4) Our collective past and fantasies, our own shared world of imaginary and real persona and ideas, the Antistrot Mythos.
